Second story to our 1948 rambler

From the time we contacted Ross in late spring to the time the entire project was completed in mid-September, we were pleased. It was a major addition that displaced our family and kept us all busy for months, and Ross helped us navigate design, financing options and all the steps of construction with relative ease. We are more than pleased with the results.

We tore the roof off in late June and within about 5 days we were fully enclosed. We had one night of rain before the new roof was on and we were communicating with Ross in the middle of the night and he was on site to assess the scene before the sun rose. That’s the kind of contractor you want — someone who cares about your home, the quality of the work and the overall success and sustainability of the project and your quality of life during and after the project is complete.

Ross and his team at Norway are expert builders. Retrofitting an older home with stairs is a challenging task. These guys know what they are doing and they do it with integrity. Our stairs are solid — the whole second floor is solid. And, the materials are all of very high quality. Ross approached our project balancing the need for quality with a reasonable price and the result is a great value.

Perhaps the greatest compliment is from passing neighbors — there were many each night over the three months the project unfolded — who consistently comment that it just looks like this addition was there from the start. It blends in well thanks to great design and the execution is pretty much flawless. I also appreciated that during construction the team kept everything very neat and tidy. It’s clear they take a great deal of pride in what they do and that really came through.

We really could not have asked for a better result. We’ve been moved in since mid-September and we haven’t found anything that we would have done differently. We’re happy to share the results with anyone who might want a tour!
